Grading
Our programs take pride in providing educational training that will prepare the student for a career and employability. We therefore follow guidelines to ensure that we turn out quality individuals. Course grades are a way of determining a level of success. A ‘final’ grade may be comprised of quizzes, tests, a final exam and the demonstration of practical hands-on competencies, where practical and as determined by the instructor. Passing ‘final’ grades of A+, A, B+, B, C+, C will be assigned. A grade of F will be designated to all students who have not demonstrated competency of the subject matter, i.e., the grade average is less than a ‘C’ and/or the student has not attended a sufficient number of classes as stated in the attendance policy in this catalog. For some selected licensing and certified courses, the grading and attendance policy may differ from that stated above. In this case details will be provided by the instructor.
