Most courses:

Students should make every attempt to be present for each scheduled class session. This is necessary to keep current with the lessons and assignments. Students should also be on time for class to minimize interruptions. A student will be permitted absences or lateness which total to no more than 20% of the total class hours for the course with a maximum of 5 missed classes regardless of the length of the course. Above these limits the instructor may give the student an ‘F’ as a Final grade.

 

Certified Nurse Aide:

To meet our attendance requirements for certification and to be allowed to take the NYS certification exam a minimum 120 hours of instruction is required:

- 90 classroom hours and

- 30 hours of continuous supervised clinical hours.

plus satisfactory performance of classroom and clinical skills.
